“ Had my first Alabama BBQ food experience. Most BBQ places here don't serve brisket. Alabama is known for their Pulled Pork and Hickory wood. I had to give their brisket a shot. (Texan) Brisket, Ribs, jalapeno garlic pinto beans & potato salad. Brisket was good but it's not Mesquite smoked flavor good. The ribs were tasty - finger lickin' with the perfect consistency and biteThe potato salad was different but good. The pinto beans were super good. Again, it's not Texas Mesquite smoked BBQ, but it was good. I was given a sample of their garlic flavored sausage. This was really good in fact I'm craving it now I'll be returning to try other items off the menu. I had the opportunity to meet and speak to the owners, wife, and husband, Glen McAlpin. Both are super nice. Glen is a super great guy. Hickory Store Craft BBQ are only 3 weeks new. We spoke for a few minutes discussing the differences between Hickory and Mesquite wood. It's tough to get Mesquite here. I highly recommend this place if you want really good BBQ. They have a wide variety of items on their menu. I noticed many people eating the smoked wings. Those are on my list, as is the smoked chicken salad. They have several different BBQ sauces to choose from, but the meats were perfectly seasoned. No need for them. My 1st Alabama BBQ experience was definitely a good one. Very clean, classy & comfortable atmosphere. Hickory Store Craft BBQ did not disappoint May the good Lord bless you and your business. ”

“ Had an opportunity to try out the BBQ Joint. I had the Brisket, pulled chicken, sausage, jalepeno garlic pinto beans and Mac n Cheese. This was the best brisket I've had since moving to Huntsville. I prefer using Mesquite and pecan when smoking a brisket. But they use a good rub so it was very tasty. Very tender! Their sauces where fantastic. The white sauce was the best I've ever had and the sweet and spicy sauce was fantastic. I should also mention that the meat really didn't need the sauce. I had an opportunity to chat with one of the owners and he was awesome! They will be expanding! If you're looking for great Alabama BBQ, give Hickory Store Craft BBQ a try!!!! ”

“ What a delightful quality BBQ place owned and privately operated by a local Huntsvillian. Live music generally on Fridays. A small stage, fireplace and plenty of propane heaters for the covered patio. Inside has ample seating. On the food side.... - A large variety of sauces for your smoked meat and a few bottled for sale (great homemade white sauce and red vinegar sauce) - the smoked tuna is amazing and reminds us of beach fair, but be sure to request extra crackers - pulled chicken is amazing and less work than the half smoked chicken while still delicious - peach cobbler is more of a cake/pudding but very delicious. Very little sauce/juice. - they are known for their wings - also known for their brisket but get there early as it sells out fast Will definitely return.... And even passed on contacts for 7 different great bands to pull in more customers to Summer. With the right live music, this could be a go-to spot much like Furniture Factory. Update: Tonight 3/16/24 the hosted the band "Full Spectrum" and it was an absolute blast!! Quite the experience with a family-friendly event. Who hoo. So much fun!! ”

“ We enjoyed a great lunch at Hickory Store BBQ last week. My family tends to be very picky about barbecue and we don’t eat it out very often. But we saw the cute vibe this place had and wanted to give it a shot. We were NOT disappointed. This is some of the best restaurant barbecue we have had in a while. Three of us went and we tried the brisket plate, pulled pork plate and the pulled chicken sandwich and all three were great! Our family loves good barbecue, but home cooked is usually where we find it straight off of our Big Green Eggs. But I’ll admit this restaurants barbecue was the closest to our own home cooked we have ever found. The brisket was cooked just right. Juicy with some fat but not too much. The meat was perfectly tender and the flavor was great! The pulled pork also had great flavor and just melt in your mouth. The pulled chicken again great flavor and wasn’t dry at all. We tried the Mac n cheese, baked bean and French fries for sides and we loved the Mac n cheese and baked beans. The fries we weren’t sure about as they are a different cut, but honestly once we tasted them they too had good flavor (nicely seasoned) and were a lot better than we feared. Service was super nice. Even though it’s a walk up and order (not my favorite personally, usually if I’m eating out I don’t want to serve myself), but everyone inside was super friendly. Ordering was simple and food came out hot and quick!!! The vibe is what drew us in to begin with. It’s just a cute place. Has both inside and outside areas. A great bar (although we went for an early lunch so we didn’t partake in anything from the bar) and from the signs we saw they offer live music and trivia nights. We will definitely be back!!! Go give this place a try! If you are like us the vibe will draw you in, the service will keep you there and the food quality will bring you back again!!! ”

Also WED.night Bingo night( or may be thursday I do not remember) and Friday evening live music and Saturday Football ...friendly and welcomed kids a nice outdoor patio where to enjoy few hours with family and friends. ”
